Our main focus is the safety and monitoring of the pets. At SFAH, we strive to go the extra distance in care, especially for the pediatric and geriatric pet that needs a little more, or a anxious pet that needs more time. This is what will set SFAH apart from the rest.
Your pet is provided with a structured day, with plenty of potty time, interaction with treats or kong time, and clean/fresh bedding. We walk your dog 3-4 times a day so they get a good stretch. They also get a lot of stimulation and action to take their mind off of being away from home. All animals are fed twice a day, and provided with comfortable bedding to sleep on. If your pet has a favorite toy, pillow, or other plaything bring it along for them. We also recommend bring pet's own food and/or treats. But do not worry we feed Royal Canin Intestinal HE diet and Low Fat. Also, Royal Canin Dental Diet as treats. We want your dog or cat to be as comfortable as possible.
We closely monitor our pets for appetite, urination, and defecation. We know that some pets get more anxious or stressed about being away from home, so don't worry we have severe protocols set in place to support them if anorexic and/or diarrhea. Our boarding food is first line to help with these concerns. If needed, Prostora, dog specific probiotic can be started prior to boarding and thru boarding to help with GI sensitivities. Swing by to pick up a gi probiotic. Lactoquil is a daily chew or Endosyn a gel.
Let us know prior to boarding visit, if medications [trazodone] maybe needed a few days prior and/or during visit/separation.
If you feel your dog has a specific concern or issue with boarding that we need to know, feel free to call and./or email to see how we would recommend handling.
We love to have fun, but we do have a few rules. Call us if you have any questions about the required vaccinations. We also require that you drop off and pick up your pet during regular business hours.
HOURS FOR PICK UP: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:45pm , Saturday 7:00am to11:45am ,
Sunday, 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
We look forward to spending time with your pet!
