The staff at South Franklin Animal Hospital is a team in so many ways, not only with each other, but with our clients. We are always excited to be part of the team in caring for our client's pets. We feel it is important that we know them by name, and what makes them special. The SFAH members are trained extensively with online resources, and monthly meetings. We know how important communication with our clients is in overall success with care. We strive to ensure everyone is on the same page with hospital protocols, procedures, diets, and supplements.
Hannah Smith, LVT started with SFAH as a part time kennel caretaker in 2009, while going to school for nursing. She continued working with us while attending and graduating from Columbia State Veterinary Technician Program in 2013. Hannah has passed her boards and is now our Licensed Veterinary Technician.
We are honored to continue watching her grow and expand her knowledge in the veterinary field. Hannah has a connection with all the animals, except cats, and always has an adorable stories of them all. Hannah is very well rounded with the foundation of animal care, excels in lab work and surgery, and is starting to master multitasking in a small animal single doctor practice.
Abby Baines has been part of SFAH team since 2009, while in high school. Abby graduated in 2014, from MTSU, and will attend Occapational Therapist Assistant School. Abby has a work ethic that is not seen in her generation. She has truly made the hospital her own. Abby is an amazing person, gentle and loving with clients and pets. The growth that Abby has had over the last years has been tremendous, and to see her fly will be a double edge sword.
Abby's family has grown by one with Skylar Kelly Baines birth. We are thrilled to have another SFAH girl.
Lauren Cain joined SFAH to get more experience with the veterinary field while in high school. We did not find it surprising that she breezed through the last 3 years at UT Martin, and is now waiting to get acceptance into veterinary school. All her dreams and an enormous amount of work and drive, Lauren is on her pathway. We feel so proud and honored to have been part of her growth, and look forward to seeing her wings open. Lauren will continue to learn all aspects of the hospital from kennel assistant to receptionist.
Lauren is currently attending her first year in veterinary school at Mississippi State. We are beyond excited for her, but miss her terribly.
Sara Hargrove has joined SFAH, and continues to bless us with her presence on holidays and college breaks. Sara is currently in UTK and will apply to veterinary school soon. We are so excited to have this amazing, hard working lady with us, and look forward to helping her in the future of veterinary medicine
Sara will be attending UTK CVM fall 2016! Very proud of all her extremely hard work.
Debbie Hise joined several months ago, as a receptionist. Debbie has many years in veterinary hospitals. Debbie is a true person with a very gentle, loving heart. Be patient as she learns our SFAH protocols and clients. We look forward to her growing with our practice.
**SFAH is lucky to be part of both Columbia State Community Veterinary Technician Program and Volunteer State Community College Veterinary Technology Program. Students are in dark blue scrubs and appropriate label. Thank you for patience and support.
